Fitness Center

Community Hours of Operation (Must be 18 + years old)

Monday through Thursday, 4:15-6:15 pm
The Waterford Union High School Fitness Center will be closed on days school is not in
session. Please refer to the calendar posted on the fitness center door.

Membership Eligibility

The following are eligible for membership:

  • Current students of Waterford Union High School (restricted to after school hours or with athletic team practices)
  • WUHS current employees and spouses (restricted hours staff hours)
  • Waterford Union High School graduates attending a post-secondary institution (restricted to community hours open to the public).
  • Adult residents of the Waterford Union High School, open enrollment, and options (restricted to community hours open to the public).
  • Property owners within the Waterford Union High School District (restricted to community hours open to the public).

All eligible members are required to have completed the approved orientation, safety
assessment, liability waiver, and release documents approved by the Waterford Union
High School District.

Membership Fees

All memberships are ANNUAL, non-refundable, and expire at the end of the
school year. Annual rates are posted on the district website under information for the Fitness Center.
The annual rate reflects memberships for the entire membership year as noted by the
school district (approximately September 1st until graduation). All fees must be paid by cash or check, or by credit card with a convenience fee added. No membership cards will be provided until fees are paid in full, completed the approved orientation, safety assessment, liability waiver, and release documents
provided by the Waterford Union High School District.

Membership Cards

Members of the Fitness Center will be entered into a membership database. When
entering, provide the attendant with your membership card to verify your membership.
Upon entering the building, members are asked to ensure coats, bags, and street shoes
are placed in the cubbies provided inside the Fitness Center. Students are required to
utilize the athletic locker rooms and check out an athletic locker.
● Misuse of your membership or entering areas of the building may result in
immediate termination of your membership.
● Immediately notify the attendant if you lose your access card. Replacement cards
will cost $10.00.

Parking
Members may use the parking spaces outside of Door #1 off of Main Street. Access to the Fitness Center is only through this entrance during community hours.


Belongings
Members are asked to not bring valuable items to the Fitness Center. WUHS is not responsible for lost or stolen items.


Dress/Apparel
We encourage you to dress appropriately for your workout. Gym shoes and workout clothes are appropriate apparel choices. Wet, muddy, snow/salt covered shoes should be changed before entering the Fitness center.


Music/Television
The Fitness Center is equipped with a stereo system. Upbeat, clean, and positive music will be played during community hours. You may also choose to use your own personal
audio equipment with headphones. Members shall not play music on their own devices that can be heard by other members within the room.
 

Restrooms
Men’s and women’s restrooms are located right outside the Fitness Center. There are no accessible locker rooms with showers during community hours.
